Posted by one of the guys over on Rennlist. Taken 30 miles north on New Smyrna Beach. I had no idea the launch would be so clear from that far away.

When I was a kid we were stationed at Patrick Air Force Base (south of Kennedy Space Center) from '81-'85. You could see the Shuttle (well, any) launch from our front yard, and schools always paused for launches so we could go outside to watch it.
