As of now there are already 40 cars completed and still no official name for the next Lamborghini which is currently being referred to as LP83X. (Now known to be the 2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4)

The car will debut at the next Geneva Auto Show and will blow away everyone's expectations! Here is what we know for now:
  • All new Digital Dash Instrumentation
  • Push Rod Suspension
  • New 7-Speed transmission with 6 settings
  • LED Headlights
  • 20" Wheels
  • As much headroom as the R8
  • 5 new colors
  • New 23 Million Dollar facility created for this car
From what I have been told the spy cars we have seen look nothing like the production vehicle. Everything is covered up in the camo. This will most likely be on showroom floors spring/summer 2011.

Stephan 09-24-2010 01:55 PM

GuessWho 09-24-2010 01:58 PM

the fact that they already have cars produced and no pictures floating around is crazy.

can't wait

Tommy6030 09-24-2010 02:09 PM

Thanks for the info DJ. This is going to be one exciting release and i cant wait to see what Lambo has up their sleeves

Mythic 09-24-2010 02:11 PM

its amazing they have been able to keep things under wraps for so long.

DJ 09-24-2010 02:26 PM

No pics were allowed at this private showing, they were all confiscated.

This is coming within 2 months though ;)

perfect...we have only to wait more...

Hernando 09-24-2010 02:59 PM

I can't wait, and I really really really hope they offer a 6speed option.

BTW, I love that they made a superleggera spyder.

McRae 09-24-2010 03:23 PM

Geneva needs to be NOW...the wait is so painful!!!

Blue4reF1 09-24-2010 03:25 PM

That S/L Spyder is perfection!

Great news as well DJ.

JonA85 09-24-2010 03:25 PM

The wait is killing me. Thanks for the update DJ.

mafishman1 09-24-2010 03:26 PM

This is excruciatingly exciting. And that SL roadster looks fantastic!!

GT3ZZZ 09-24-2010 03:41 PM

The SL Spyder looks fantastic. But having owned a 560-4 Spyder and a 570-4 SL in the last 6 months, they are chalk and cheese. A proper combo of both cars will be hard to pull off - the SL is much more special because its raw and lighter, pointier, lots more edge. Taking the roof off will wreck most of this (although it will sound good:))

krenshaw 09-24-2010 04:08 PM

SL Spyder = WIN!

dyvatvol15 09-24-2010 04:10 PM

Sorry for my English, but what is "Push Rod Suspension"??

Ludas 09-24-2010 04:14 PM

Sounds good. :)

That 570 Superleggera is off the hook.

Carrera 09-24-2010 04:37 PM

Mini George 09-24-2010 05:00 PM

This is keeping me up a night. Why won't they release pics!!

All is correct..and sad to add......NO 6 speed 3 pedal Manual AT ALL period!

Guess I will have a 100K miles on my 6 speed, 3 pedal manual 2010 LP670-4SV...:golfclap:

Stephan 09-24-2010 09:43 PM

^ last of the greats the 670SV!

latterlon 09-24-2010 10:11 PM

No surprise that a manual won't be offered. Sign of the times I guess. Sigh...

Craigger 09-25-2010 12:34 AM

the winged SL/S looks like a mini pagani!

DJ 09-25-2010 12:35 AM

If Roy is confirming my info then I feel very confident!

Alzilla 09-25-2010 01:47 AM

Secrets, secrets are no fun! Unveil it already, Lamborghini!

MapleCars 09-25-2010 02:13 AM

I want a 6-speed gear box and 19" wheels instead of 20, too much headroom means that the car won't be flat enough....

d3a 09-25-2010 03:47 AM

from the latest issue of italian magazine Quattroruote, very close to italian manufacturers (it was also the first to show the pics of lp560-4)

here my scans of the article...it add confusion!

*v12 6.5l not DI,770hp @ 9.000rpm
*7-speed e-gear updated,by graziano trasmissioni,50ms to complete gearchange
multiple grafts with four poles, each dedicated to a couple of gears
no dct to save weight
*1.500kg
*awd Haldex 4th generation
*chassis very stiff, 14.000nm,the double of current one
