Jaguar Says Long Live The Manual

In a world where automakers are axing the manual transmission one after another, who would have ever guessed that Jaguar would be the automaker to save the enthusiasts choice of three pedals? Not us, but we'll take it.

A recent report from Car & Driver notes that Jaguars says it’s geared up to resurrect several models with three pedals, starting with the highly anticipated F-type, that will be offered with a stick-shift option a bit after its initial launch. They do throw in the caveat that the manuals may only be for the enthusiast-targeted F-type coupes and not roadsters.

A high-level source at Jaguar tells the magazine that the F-type isn’t the only Jag with a manual transmission in its future, the source notes that at least one car planned for the all-new Jaguar platform currently in the works phase also will offer a manual gearbox, so say it with us...long live the manual!

That F-type is one of the best looking cars I've ever seen. And I totally forgot jag even existed.

 

Surprised since you can't get a jag with a stick now, but that is definitely a sexy car.
