DB4 GT Zagato by Evanta Motor Company

DB4 GT Zagato - History

"The Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato was launched in 1960. Using the existing floorpan of a standard DB4 the car was shortened to a 93" wheelbase and handed to the Italian coachbuilder "Zagato" to improve the performance and shroud it in a beautiful aluminium bodyshell.

Due to the lack of popularity and the price at the time, only 19 original cars were made. These cars are now priceless with estimated values between L3 - L4 milllion.

Two "Works" cars were made for Aston Martin, recognisable by thier number plates 1VEV and 2VEV. Both cars competed in the 1961 Le Mans 24hrs.

All the cars were hand made, no two DB4 GT Zagatos were the same. We have been inspired by the beauty and lines of what is considered the best of the 19 cars. And we can tailor make any element of the build to suit individual tastes.

Evanta Motor company offers our motorcar in two forms. A traditional scratch built classic or a modern DB7 conversion.

Aston Martin DB7 Conversion - DB4 GT Zagato Evocation

Evanta Motor Company Ltd proudly presents its Aston Martin DB7 conversion: the DB4 GT Zagato Evocation. This car is unique, the first of its kind on the planet.

The proportions and lines are breathtaking. Its impossible to tell that this is in fact a modern ECU driven, Tiptronic, V12 monster with air conditioning and air bags. Full race roll cage is hidden underneath the stunning interior, which is finished in luxurious Oxblood red leather.

The flawless paintwork is finished in correct Aston Martin solent silver, which has a delicate hint of blue. Wheels are 16" wires with appropriate race tyres.

The car retains the modern instruments of the DB7, yet the fusion of a vintage DB4 dash, DB4 seats and period trim. The blend where old meets new is a stroke of genius. This rare, elegant yet powerful car is the only one available on the planet.

DB4 Zagato - Traditional Build

Our new built motorcar utilises it's own race proven, ladder made chassis with adjustable coil over double wishbone suspension to the front and a de dion unit to the rear. We use disc brakes all round with tandem servo assisted braking system. Power lock diff ensures every horse power is squeezed from an endless choice of engine and gearbox options.

The stunning one piece bodshell is wet laid in a choice of GRP or a carbon and kevlar weave. Bodies in aluminium are available in limited numbers.

Interior options are endless from a sparton, caged race interior to luxurious connoly leather.

Love the look, but that steering wheel kills the interior.

change the interior and make it look like the original, put a DBS V12 engine and you have perfection right there

Awesome car. Definitely think a wood steering wheel would compliment the interior much better.

I believe that as its essentially a rebodied DB7, it has to retain the airbag steering wheel to be sold in some countries.

If you're spending that much money, just buy a wood wheel and fit it afterwards.

Stunning car.

Love it but agree RE the steering wheel. Also the rear fenders ruin the rear end. Too sharp.

roadracer311 is an unknown quantity at this point
From the outside it's perfect, except that the tires look like they're going to rub on the fenders, and the fender flares make it look like a Daytona kit car.
