Post Spied: The Audi RS7

Spied: The Audi RS7

Our trusty Teamspeed spies are at it again and seen here is Audi's latest family sized hot-rod, the RS7. Rumor has it the RS7 Sportback might debut alongside the S7 in Paris and we'll be sure to be on location for that debut. The RS7 should be powered the 4.0L Bi-turbo TFSI engine, the same as found in the Bentley Continental GT. Expected to clock in at roughly 560+HP, the V10 sled will surely put a smile on any drivers face.

DJ, it's going to be a V8 4.0TFSI, not a V10 as the article states.

The cars in the pictures were in CO doing high altitude testing.

Are you sure this is a RS7? And not a 'normal' S7?

It looks like an 'S' model to me as it has quad exhausts. 'RS' models have always had twin ovals.

I spy an RS6 Avant in the background! I heard this time the U.S will be getting it too. So excited!

I may be misremembering, but I don't believe there will be. The link posted a few days/weeks ago linking to an online Q/A with johan de nysschen from audi NA stated that it would be too much trouble to conform to US regulations.

As I said, I may be mixing up models.

^^ I think you might be talking about the RS5. Last I heard Audi really wanted the RS6, and many more RS cars in general to come to the U.S.
