Nissan GT-R Goes Two-For-Two at Super GT
#1
Lets get one thing straight, the new Nissan GT-R is very quickly becoming a modern classic. Yesterday, at the second round Super GT race at Okayama International Circuit the #23 Nissan GT-R, driven by Satoshi Motoyama and Benoit Treluyer, took its second victory of the season leading from pole-to-flag. The #12 Nissan Impul GT-R came in second for a second consecutive Nissan GT-R 1-2 finish.
Satoshi Motoyama commented: “ It’s the first time I’ve had consecutive wins. Benoit did really well in the first half to save the lead, so it was a great race.”
Benoit Treluyer said after the race, “I feel great! I had thought that consecutive wins in GT was impossible so I’m very happy. I knew it would be tough unless I was in the lead by the 6th lap, and that was right.”
29,000 race fans saw the number 23 Nissan GT-R (46 points) take a 27 point lead over Petronas Tom's Lexus SC430 (19 points). Nissan GT-R #12 and #22 share third place with 18 points.
