sort of bittersweet since i pre-traded my 2009 R8 which i loved and won't have to drive while i wait for the TTS to come in.. hopefully sooner rather than later!

anyway, here's what i ordered:

i was going to get the rims and caps in GT silver as well but thought it would look funny.... aside from that i wanted the door strips illuminated in stainless and the turbo s logo on storage bin but that would have delayed the car until July/August.

what do you guys think? is the full body in gt silver a good look or should i have kept black parts black (spoiler, sideskirts, rear, front intakes and mirrors)?

 

Congrats on the Turbo S! IMO I think you should go with the full body gt silver.

 

IMO, keep the black parts and leave the mirrors in bodycolor. Undecided about the paited front intakes, need to see them painted to get an idea.

Gunmetal rims would look great.

CH, that looks pretty cool actually... can you do the same with the whole body (sideskirts, lip, mirror, rear and front intakes) GT silver with the rims in the standard color? thanks!

 

 

You can do the lowers and/or grilles after delivery, saving a bundle. I'd pass on the grille intakes and leave 'em black, but that's just one man's opinion.

Otherwise sounds damn nice, and very close to what I'm driving now.

Have you seen a pic of the clear tail lights? Just be sure this is what you want. It's one of those options that engenders a strong opinion pro and con...

Eric, i thought of painting it after the fact but i always thought that would ruin resale value - with the paint meter readings being off and such... can you post a picture of your car?

and re the tail lights, yea they're different but it's a new option so i figured i might as well try it... sort of like, "hey they're charging extra for it so it must be nice" kinda thinkin!

Sounds like a cool spec. Only thing I would add is the aerokit and some deviated stitching in silver or white.
