Been riding for 3 weeks now...

...and I'm still alive and have logged more then 500 miles

I bought a CBR 600 F2 from a coworker for $900, thing runs good. I did have to replace the chain and sprocket, and it could use a carb cleaning/tune (Which I'll probably do myself). But other then that (and the ugly color I recieved it in) it's been an absolute blast.

I'll ride this for a few months and then most likely upgrade to something newer

I don't like older type bikes, but for 900.00 I would have bought that as well. wait til you get on a new bike with some real power and looks, you will never want to be without one again

props to you for starting on something reasonable to learn on... take it easy though as you start to get more comfortable, that's when lots of riders make their first major mistake

this thing isn't exactly slow, it's still a good mid 11 second bike. That said, I rode a buddies R1 this weekend and it scared the shit out of me

We'll see what I replace it with in a few months......what's funny is I haven't driven my car in weeks

Riding is an awesome activity. Just be careful out there, those cars just dont see us.
