It doesn't let you see the music on your phone when you plug it into itunes? with ipods I just connected, opened up itunes, clicked the ipod tab, then the music tab, and just copy and pasted |

If you've already purchased the music in question from iTunes, you can just use the re-download button and suck it up from Apple. If not, you can copy it from the device. There are a dozen and five software iterations out there to do it, all of which more or less manually move it from the device as follows: 1) Mount iPod. 2) Open Terminal (Apps -> Utilities) 3) cd /Volumes/IPODNAME/iPod_Control 4) rsync -r Music ~/Desktop 5) When rsync completes (returns shell prompt), drag the Music folder on your desktop onto the iTunes icon. Note that all commands are case sensitive, and IPODNAME must be replaced with the name of your iPod. If you do not want to mess around with Terminal, Apple has a method for doing the same with iTunes. |
I thought Macs were supposed to be simple? |
