My dealer said PDK and direct inject is coming and I can place my order for a November build but then again another dealer said they are making a special edition turbo s with pdk and pccb's. I guess we will see...

To my understanding Porsche is having a hard time with a PDKed TT due to the transmission being too expensive to run and maintain… but you never know what these guys can pull off
I am on the “list” for a Turbo S, but that’s not coming for another two years if at all

Direct injection, does that mean the M64 real dry sump engine is a goner?

Last I heard they were keeping the M64 and leaving the A91 for the non GT/Turbo cars.

There was one test-mule that was photographed with the "integrated dry sump", aka fake dry sump. I think they're dropping it for the Turbo too and it will only be available on the GT-series cars. I would not be surprised if it's long gone once the 997 series bows out. The Turbo is getting to be too much of a pig...AWD, now PDK. Even a standard 997TT 6-speed coupe, while a nice car, feels lethargic.

I've said this before: I'd expect to see a parts-bin-dump Turbo S show up fall of this year....then perhaps nothing for a bit, then a redesigned Turbo show for the '11 model year.

Just thinkin....
