Turbo. No questions asked. The S is for non-gearheads imho

I loved my 997 S (although I did supercharge it for more power).

I like the new interior, and I'm a 2WD guy all the way. And I think the new 7-spd sounds great.

Funny Russ I find the 997.2 perfect in the interior dept, the 996 was horrible and cheap with the Audi AC/Heat controls etc, the 997.1 had all that ugly Grey plastic and the 997.2 fixed that and made it flow better. The 991S interior and console looks way too Panamera/Cayenne and it looses the sports car feel IMO

For me 997TT all the way

Do you want to come by the dealer and see the 997 Turbo you have interest in? I personally would rather have a pre-owned Turbo over a non-turbo car.

Eric

hello eric, glad to see someone from the dealership on here. is that your direct contact info under your name? i'm going to be around roslyn this thursday afternoon if you're available. i haven't personally got into the driver's seat of a 911, always a passenger. much appreciated if you can give me some figures.

Go for a turbo but get a manual transmission! They aren't the easiest to find but thats my vote!

really? all i found was turbo with sticks. a tiptronic or even a pdk are the rarities. unless you search pdk on ebay.

Without a doubt I'd go for the turbo. The 997 is one of the best styled Porsche's to date IMO. 7 speed would be too busy and wouldn't be practical if it's your DD. And with this being the first year of the 991, you never know what issues may arise. My vote is for the turbo all day.

on a site note, i heard the 7th gear can be used as an automatic? like you can literally just shift to 7th gear and use the car like any other automatic on the road? that actually sounds convenient

NA engines all the way besides the new 991 revs to 9k. I love the new interiors! S all the way!
