Need a little advice on options

Trying to spec a Turbo S. Need to hear some sage advice. I'm an old guy whose track days are behind me.

GT Silver
Black interior
Park Assist
Power Steering Plus
Classic wheels
18 way sport seats
Luggage Net
Smokers Pkg
Seat Ventilation
Seat Heating
Sport Design Steering Wheel in Alcantara

The radio is never on, so I skip the Burmester
My skin is 'cancer friendly', so no sunroofs or cabrios.

I chose the classic wheel because I'm nervous about Centerlock issues, and the user-friendliness of non-centerlocks.

Should the Classic Wheels be black with a silver car?

I could consider Rhodium Silver, Black/Platinum Gray interior

I didn't choose multifunction wheel because I like the feel of alcantara on a steering wheel.

What do y'all think? I agonize over these decisions. Thanks.

Not bad though not my choice of colours.

Don't need seat vent imo. Heating is enough.
I would add alcantara pdk shifter
Mobile phone ready also (bluetooth)
Colored belts and dials as well

Not that many more options you can add to the S. I added in a rear wiper as well and privacy glass all round + floormats + alum pedals + elec side mirrors. Pretty much it.

Is PCCB standard on the TTS?

I wasn't sure what the various phone related options actually did?

Alcantara shifter - will have to think about that one.
Folding mirrors - I can add that.

Thanks.

On the Options page there should be little question marks next to the option tick box. These give the descriptions of each option. :)

Thanks, but I still don't understand all the nuances. I'm still living in the last century, techwise.

The 3D versions seem to have more info, too.

]I don't like the ventilated seats as I had them in a Cab before and they work poorly, heated are good, I would also loose the 18 way seats the 4 way are fine and the 18 way are very heavy. Good call on the smokers pkg as it gives you 12v in the console area, and yes you need mobile phone prep, other then that good straight spec.

Thanks. -- When you say poorly, do mean temp wise or air distribution?

I was choosing the 18way because of my body and it's slow continual aging deterioration might like the adjustability down the road. Also, I thought I could use one of the memory settings to put the seat all the way back to make exit/entry easier.

Seems to me like you need to get yourself a Bentley since you expect to age significantly over the 4-6 years that you will own the TTS! ;)

Some comfort options that really are worth it:
Select the Porsche Entry & Drive option, this way you can leave your keys in your pockets. Get the backup camera as well. Its a new options and works great with park assist. If you drive the car a lot the adaptive cruise is also very good. Lastly, get the Headlight Cleaning System Covers Painted in Exterior Color. This things look terrible when not painted. Hope this helps.

Thanks, it helps alot - I thought camera came with park assist. I'll have to check into this.

I had keyless entry with another car, and I was always nervous when walking awasy from the car if it was really locked or not, plus if (e.g. at a car show) the doors would be openable when I didn't want them to be just because I was in near proximity.

Hadn't thought about the washer covers.

I had them on my last TTS and didnt really think they were that great but options are very personal like color so you need to have exactly what you want!! Either way great car and super fast :cool2:

You just live this once, so get the one you like the most and donīt look back for coments, I like very much the color combo you have chosen, enjoy the car and drive it fast.:golfclap:

FWIW you have some nice options. IMHO the Turbo/Turbo S wheels really make the car look good.

With the 911 you have to put your hand on the door with key in pocket to unlock door. So you will be safe at car shows.

Me thinks...
Good call on the 5 lug wheels, may not look as cool but way more service-able period. Have you considered the Agate interior with Rhodium? I've seen a C4S in that combo and a dealer in NH has that combo in stock in a Turbo with the classic wheels for you to see the impression...

Color washer jets, yes
Keyless, maybe not
Dial color- white looks great with the orange needles
Center console in leather ( on side of shiter console)
Aluminum fuel cap- go for it, it's cool as heck

Seats- Comfort, ease of use- getting in and out...is all about the 14 way seats. Still gives you cushion extension, lumbar, and memory.
