Ferrari to offer general maintenance for first seven years of the car's life http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5166/...1540f7c2_z.jpg General maintenance for first seven years of the car's life Geneva sees the introduction of an innovative service for all new Ferrari owners. With effect from March in Europe, and on other markets during the course of the year, clients ordering a Ferrari California, 458 Italia or FF from the authorised dealership network will be entitled to a free seven-year standard maintenance programme. Genuine Maintenance is Ferrari's exclusive service that ensures that its cars are maintained to the highest level for maximum performance and safety. The programme is unique – this is the first time a car manufacturer offers such cover worldwide and is evidence of the attention paid by Ferrari to its clients. The Genuine Maintenance programme covers the individual vehicle, and thus extends to any eventual subsequent owner. The programme covers the workmanship for the programmed maintenance along with the relative original spare parts, engine oil and brake fluid. The advantage to the owner is the assurance that the vehicle will be subject to regular annual inspection by Ferrari-trained personnel using factory-approved dedicated diagnostic equipment. wow, now I need to save up for a prancing horse. |
Thanks for posting this! |
This is incredible and says so much about the brand. Even more impressive is the ability to transfer. |
If this proves to be true and actually covers what it implies than I am extremely impressed. Bravo Ferrari, I am sure this notion to it's customer's will pay dividends for them. |
Ferrari FTW! This will definitely bring more customers |
is this at an extra cost? |
They haven't included the 599 GTO or SA Aperta? |
It's a good way to go....I'll buy one now |
Is there no mileage limit? Straight up seven years no matter how it's driven? I have a feeling this will help resale value too. Knowing a 15 year old Ferrari (down the road) was regularly maintained by Ferrari itself for half of it's life is a good selling point. |
And to add on to this they should improve quality. Specifically their paint jobs. |
Wow!!! |
Nice idea to gain more customers. The 458 is already owned by about 80% first time Ferrari buyers because old customers aren't biting anymore. I'm guessing this will grab a few but hindsight the 7 years of service is about $5k total for "mandatory" stuff so Ferrari is just giving in on a little of my guess 150k in profit on the 458. |
Love to see this! |
I'm really glad they did this AFTER I bought my car. Just great. I think it shows that they expect the newer cars to be far more reliabable. |
That's pretty good. |

Is 150k per car an accurate estimate of the profits? I have always wondered, but never known. I would have guessed much less. |

repost ;) |
Ooooo wooow, smoke and mirrors. The price you pay trumps it many times over. Same with any other company offering this And will barely cost them. Hey, got to do something to sell those right. |
I think if anything it speaks to the fact that the reliability and build quality of the cars has significantly improved in recent years. |
