YouTuber Chronicles Impressive Lexus IS 300 Drift Build
Auto influencer mods his Lexus with a D-Max hood vent and rear wing as he creates the ultimate drift machine.
If you’ve been cooped up inside your house these past few months just dreaming about the summer days when you get out there start ripping your Lexus out in the back parking lots of your local track, we may have found the perfect video to inspire you to get your Lexus IS in tip-top shape for just such a task.
Auto influencer Brent, host of the YouTube channel K_Bunz, is modding his Lexus IS to be a lean, mean drifting machine, and he’s sharing the process in a series of videos. He also shares updates on his Instagram. His newest video features the steps he’s taken to add some cool updates to his Lexus IS 300 using parts he found on eBay.
In an episode titled “IS 300 Drift Build Update,” he goes over the installation of a D-Max hood vent and a Lexus blade that he says is “some new one I saw on eBay.”
It’s an interesting mix of updates, and judging from his previous work on his Lexus, we suspected it would be another inspiring job, and it certainly is. By the end of the clip, despite needing a paint job, the IS is looking quite good, and the hood vent melds nicely with the new wheels and overall edgy aesthetic.
So, if you’ve been looking for some cool home garage projects to get your car ready for summer, you’ll want to check out his video update.
There’s not a lot of dialogue in the video because, as he mentions, the shop is busy and he does not want to be a distraction. However, this clip does not need much dialogue and it still accomplishes its goal of expertly showcasing the steps taken to complete the DIY garage projects.
“First I’m going to do the D-Max hood vent,” he says after a trip to pick up the necessary tools. “The hood on the car it’s got some dings in it so I’m going to do it on that one first because I don’t want to ruin my good hood If I don’t like it.”
“Then I’ll show you guys the car,” he adds. “It’s looking pretty sweet: new wheels, wide-body, all kinds of stuff. Hoping to get it painted. Once it’s painted, I’ll do the swap and then back to drifting.”
We wouldn’t have it any other way.
