Directors of Salon Privé have rescheduled the event to take place September 23-26.

The directors of the U.K.’s Salon Privé Concours d’Elegance Classic Car Motor Show have made a pragmatic decision to move the 2020 edition back by three weeks, with the event now taking place from September 23 to 26.

“Thinking back to our inaugural year in 2006 at The Hurlingham Club in Fulham, South West London, Salon Privé showcased just 41 cars to hundreds of guests over four days in mid-June,” say the event’s producers in a press statement. “By contrast, in 2019, Salon Privé showcased over 2,100 classic, super, and hypercars to over 25,000 guests over four days in early-September.

Now in its 15th year, the event continues to attract an international gathering of guests, entrants, and, of course, automotive OEMs in both the luxury and supercar sectors. Now, with more than 95% of the exhibitor space reportedly sold, the event is already all but complete and raring to go.

“Many OEMs now consider Salon Privé 2020 as their first opportunity to debut new models to the U.K. and in some cases, the global market,” says David Bagley, Salon Privé’s Sales Director. “As a result, we anticipate even more launches than the record number of 11 debuts in 2019.”

“There is a huge desire to host this very special annual event and these extra three weeks should ensure we can open the Palace doors to what will be our most spectacular automotive celebration yet,” adds Andrew Bagley, Salon Privé’s Concours Chairman.

Now in its 15th year, Salon Privé Week is a series of events for car enthusiasts and is considered one of the top events in the world alongside Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este.
