Sunset GT Cars & Coffee Announces New 2019 Schedule

By -

Popular SoCal event switches to a quarterly schedule for 2019. But you can bet that this year’s Sunset GT will be just as good.

Virtually every town in America hosts some sort of cars & coffee event, generally taking place one weekend day per month. But while you’ve undoubtedly seen a few nice cars at each, none compare to the ridiculousness of the Sunset GT Cars & Coffee event that takes place in Los Angeles’ Sunset Plaza. Last year, we saw some of the most amazing, rare, and most expensive machinery on the planet. This year should prove to be more of the same, though the schedule is going to be a little bit different.

For 2019, Sunset GT is going quarterly instead of monthly. And yes, while that’s somewhat of a bummer, this is still a can’t-miss event for any supercar fan. A grand total of four Sunset GTs are scheduled for this year, each one with a different theme. The first, taking place February 10, will feature a Porsche takeover. May 12 is all about Italian supercars, while August 11 is dedicated to hypercars. The final meet of the year takes place December 8 and shines a spotlight on McLaren and MSO vehicles.

Registration for the Porsche and Italian takeovers are already open, so you’ll probably want to get signed up now. The other two events are tentative, so they’re obviously subject to change. Regardless, you’ll want to go ahead and clear your calendar for all four, if the past is any indication of what we can expect moving forward.

Set in the high-end shopping and dining mecca of WeHo, Sunset GT promises to attract more of the world’s rarest and most expensive machines once again in 2019. And while we’re bummed that it’s no longer happening every month, that won’t stop us from attending each and every one!
