Spofec Unveils Rolls Royce Wraith Black Badge Overdose

Spofec has unveiled its menacing rendition of Rolls Royce Wraith and the murdered-out widebody coupe is powered by a 717 HP motor.

Rolls Royce is responsible for building some of the stateliest cars of all time. This did not stop enthusiasts from modifying the British automaker’s offerings to make them sportier. Earlier in February, we reported on West Coast Customs and Justin Bieber’s futuristic reproduction of a 2018 Rolls Royce Wraith.

Now, tuning company Spofec has unveiled its rendition of the nameplate. The car is called Rolls Royce Wraith Black Badge Overdose, and it was launched earlier this week. The car’s murdered-out all-black paint scheme is the highlight and one of the most eye-catching features of its styling. Except for the headlights, tail lights, number plate, and windows, every inch of this car’s bodywork Is covered with a coating of rich black paint.

Thanks to Spofec’s Overdose kit, this Rolls Royce Wraith’s rear-end is 13 centimeters wider than the stock version. The company had to design a new bumper to accommodate the wider rear-end. To ensure uniformity, Spofec also designed a new front bumper that compliments the new body kit. The car also gets new side skirts and rides on Vossen’s 22-inch Concave forage rims that also flaunt a glossy black finish.

The tuner augmented the Wraith’s stance by equipping it with a lowering module, and the car now rides 4 centimeters lower than the stock model. To improve the car’s performance, Spofec installed its Stage 2 performance package, which bumps the power of Wraith’s 6.6-liter twin-turbocharged V12 motor from 624 HP to 717 HP. The retuned powerplant now also produces 727 lb-ft of peak torque, which means the Wraith Black Badge Overdose can accelerate to 62 MPH from a complete standstill in just 4.2 seconds.

In addition to the extra boost in pressure, the tuner also uses special injection and ignition mapping to improve the car’s performance. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox, and all the power is sent to the rear wheels, however, the car’s top speed is still electronically limited to 155 MPH. In true Rolls Royce tradition, the interior will be customized as per customer preference.
