Almost every new Aston Martin hasn’t technically been a new Aston Martin for almost 5-6 years. For the last decade, Aston Martin has used the same chassis, same engines and same interiors in almost every one of its cars throughout the company’s past. Now, however, Aston Martin and Mercedes have inked a deal that will help move the British supercar company past its malaise era and into the modern century.

With the first car being the DB11, Aston Martin is hard at work building an entirely new vehicle that should take the world by storm. We’ve got the first pictures of it being shaken down. According to our spy photographers, the car you see here is definitely the DB11. It uses either a twin-turbo V8 or V12 sourced from AMG, and bears a striking resemblance to the DB10 that will be in the next Bond film.

Aston Martin should pull the covers off the new car in the coming months and have it ready to go on sale late next year. Look forward to the coming auto show season for Aston Martin to debut this mental piece of automotive engineering.
