Oct. 5 sale in the U.K. to also feature many rare, vintage Porsche, Audi and BMW convertibles.
Classic Car Auctions is offering four fabulous open-top sports cars in their forthcoming auction on the October 5 at the Warwickshire Event Centre in the U.K. Whether it is a Porsche, Jaguar, Audi or a BMW that is your chosen marque, these four superb cars will offer some great “wind in your hair” motoring.
“We have some really superb cars being consigned,” commented Gary Dunne, Classic Car Auctions auction manager. “These are four cracking [fun] open top sports cars. The Audi 80 is lovely and very striking in red and the Jaguar is a very special car and will generate a lot of interest.â€
The Porsche 911 is a 2003 Carrera C4 Tiptronic S in excellent condition and superbly maintained. With just 36,000 miles on the clock and supported by a comprehensive history file, this is a well-maintained, low mileage Porsche. Presented in Lapis Blue with a Graphite Grey full ruffled interior, this car is sensibly guided at $28,000 to $34,000 to maximize its full potential.
Launched in 1996 to replace the XJS, the Jaguar XK8 range was joined by the more powerful XKR in 1998. In 2002 the XKR received the 4.2-liter engine along with further revisions. By 2006 the last of the X100 cars were produced with Stratstone Mayfair purchasing the remaining 30 cars and creating with Jaguar the Stratstone Edition. The 2006 Stratstone Jaguar XKR convertible at this Fall’s auction is one of just 14 of these 30 cars that were convertibles and is a very highly specified car. With just two-family owners since 2007 and 86,000 miles on the odometer, this is a very desirable limited-edition car at $19,000 to $25,000 and will be very sought after by collectors and Jaguar enthusiasts.
The Audi 80 Cabriolet introduced in the early 1990s was Audis first soft-top. It soon gained a reputation for being one of the classiest ways to travel if you wanted open-top motoring for four people. CCA have a stunning 1995 80 Cabriolet presented in red with a grey leather interior. With three owners from new and an incredible 33,000 miles on the clock, this 2.6 V6 open-top powerhouse at $7,300 to $9,800 will make a fabulous purchase.
CCA’s next four-seater drop-top is the 2004 BMW 330Ci Sport with the Individual Package. The car is presented in the very desirable Estoril Blue with a soft grey leather interior. Extras include the Xenon headlights, heated seats and a Harmon Kardon stereo. With just three former keepers from new and 60,000 miles on the clock, this BMW is estimated at $6,100 to $8,600. The car also comes with an Ministry of Transport vehicle safety certificate good until June 2020. A recent service was undertaken in August this year.
Classic Car Auctions will have more noteworthy vehicles for auction on December 7, also at Warwickshire Event Centre in the U.K.
