Say it isn’t so. No manual transmission option for the New BMW M4?

Say it isn’t so. No manual transmission option for the New BMW M4?

By -

Yesterday a rumor of another manual transmission death hit the web and this time the focus was the new BMW M4. The “buzz” was that the new M-car will be offered exclusively with a dual-clutch transmission, with no manual option available.

The gents over at Autoblog quoted a “well-placed source” who said the M4 will not be revealed at the LA Auto Show this November, (BMW will chose to debut the car at the Detroit Auto Show in January) and when the F82 M4 does arrive, it will have only a dual-clutch transmission (DCT) as standard equipment – yes no manual option.

But there is a bright side to all this: The Bimmer-obsessed fanatics over at Bimmerpost call bollocks to this latest rumor, submitting contrary evidence in the form of photos, videos, and more.

Let’s hope Bimmerpost is right!
