Rolls-Royce Whispers App

App connects users to fellow Rolls-Royce owners and includes access to curated luxury experiences and popular events.

Rolls-Royce. The name evokes luxury, the kind of luxury afforded to only a few. When a Roller rolls by on the street, those who look on know they’re in the presence of a very important person. The owner may be driving themselves, of course, but no one else has to know that. They only need to know to get out of their way.

Rolls-Royce, too, knows the sort of spirit of ecstasy their cars and SUVs inspire among owners and fans alike. Recently, they took that spirit up to 11 with their new app, Whispers, but only a few will ever get to use it.

“It is with pleasure that today we introduce to the world an Application named Whispers; an innovative, digital House of Rolls-Royce, conceived and deployed over two years ago,” said CEO Torsten Müller-Ötvös. “Whispers is completely unique. It is a digital gateway to a fascinating world beyond, where the exceptional and the extraordinary come together and are tailored to meet the demands and tastes of our eclectic and highly valued community of clients.”

To make full use of the Whispers app, you need to own a new Rolls-Royce in the United States, the United Kingdom, Europe, or the Middle East. From there, you’ll be able to talk to other Rolls-Royce owners in those countries, as well as the CEO and board members at the company, all without the riff-raff sticking their noses into your business.

Social networking isn’t the only thing Whispers can do for the Rolls-Royce owner, though. Users can create their own experiences, from seats at the New York Philharmonic Orchestra and New York Fashion Week, to walking the red carpet at the Oscars and mingling with the entire Coachella lineup. Users can even have custom Monopoly boards made with their properties, art commissions, and access to exclusive Rolls-Royce events.

In short, it’s good to be king of the world.

Cameron Aubernon's path to automotive journalism began in the early New '10s. Back then, a friend of hers thought she was an independent fashion blogger.

Aubernon wasn't, so she became one, covering fashion in her own way for the next few years.

From there, she's written for: Louisville.com/Louisville Magazine, Insider Louisville, The Voice-Tribune/The Voice, TOPS Louisville, Jeffersontown Magazine, Dispatches Europe, The Truth About Cars, Automotive News, Yahoo Autos, RideApart, Hagerty, and Street Trucks.

Aubernon also served as the editor-in-chief of a short-lived online society publication in Louisville, Kentucky, interned at the city's NPR affiliate, WFPL-FM, and was the de facto publicist-in-residence for a communal art space near the University of Louisville.

Aubernon is a member of the International Motor Press Association, and the Washington Automotive Press Association.
