November 30 will go down as an important date in Porsche history as the automaker officially reveals the next-gen 911.

It seems like forever since we first laid eyes on the first spy shots of the forthcoming 992-gen Porsche 911. Because, well, it has been. But now, after months and months of speculation and sightings, it looks like we’re on the brink of an official unveiling. According to Car & Driver (and multiple other outlets), the all-new 2020 Porsche 911 will bow at the 2018 Los Angeles Auto Show, which runs from November 30 to December 9.

The official show site stops just short of confirming this, saying only that Porsche is debuting a new vehicle at the event. But given the timeline we’re working with, there’s really no doubt what that debut will be. The 992 911 has been in development for quite some time now, and we recently saw the car completely uncovered. Thus, an official unveiling is imminent.

Especially when you consider Porsche’s plan for rolling out the 2020 model year 911. U.S. dealerships are slotted to receive Carrera S and 4S models beginning summer of 2019. A few months later, regular Carrera models arrive. And by the end of 2019, a new 992-gen Turbo 911 will round out the initial lineup. The Targa, GTS, and GT3 will follow, but no concrete timeline for those models has yet been established.

The 992 is obviously huge news, but it won’t be alone at Porsche’s L.A. display. The U.K.’s Car Magazine is also reporting that the Panamera GTS will also be making its public show debut. Porsche recently pulled the covers off that new model, but we have yet to see it in the flesh and under bright lights.

Thus, Porsche fans have a lot to look forward to at this year’s L.A. Auto Show. Whether or not they’ll eventually get used to the 992’s unique new taillight treatment is another story!
