Pontiac Plant Site to Become an Automotive Nirvana

Fisher Body Plant - General Motors Pontiac, MI

Since 2008, when GM shuttered and leveled its Pontiac plant, nothing car-related has been done with the massive site. That all could change soon if a plan to renovate the location comes to fruition.

According to The Detroit News, the old Pontiac plant location is going to become a high-end home for road cars and racecars. Essentially, there’s a plan to turn the real estate into an auto condominium complex where owners can store their cars, tinker, and then go out and play with them on the proposed onsite track.

Right now, units are being set aside for those lucky few that have enough money to afford them. Prices appear to start at $110,000. The project is still in its infancy with the ground just being broken this week, but the people behind the M1 Concourse definitely have their sights set high.
