Petersen Automotive Museum Hosting Chip Ganassi Exhibit
Meet legendary former driver and current owner and just have a good time at Petersen Museum’s latest exhibit, December 13.
You could say that racing is in Chip Ganassi‘s blood. Over the last 30+ years, he’s played some sort of role in the world of motorsports, first by racking up wins in the CART and IMSA series everywhere from the Indy 500 to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Today, the Motorsports Hall of Famer enjoys the distinction of being one of the more innovative owners in the sport. Ganassi operates 14 cars and 18 drivers in IndyCar, NASCAR, the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, and the World Endurance Championship. So it’s no surprise that Ganassi is also the focus of the Petersen Automotive Museum’s latest exhibit.
Chip Ganassi Racing: Fast Tracks to Success focuses on Ganassi’s total dominance of racing over the course of his illustrious career. And it does so, of course, with a series of amazing machines. This includes race cars from the entire spectrum of Ganassi’s current efforts, which represent quite the diverse array of competition. But like Ganassi Racing, Petersen is also known for their diverse group of immersive experiences, so there’s much more to take in as well.
Those who attend the opening of this special Petersen exhibit on December 13 from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm will also enjoy some very cool extras. They include, for starters, access to a nifty fireside chat with Chip Ganassi himself. Where we imagine you’ll hear some pretty cool stories from his three decades of racing experience.
Even better, Petersen will gift those in attendance a unique Chip Ganassi Racing “swag” item to take home. You’ll also receive access to a live auction where there’ll be additional cool collectibles up for grabs. And while you’re bidding on those, you’ll enjoy a complimentary bar and some tasty food to munch on.
Tickets for this amazing event are on sale now and can be purchased here for a mere $30. Which seems like a steal if you’re a Ganassi fan or just a fan of motorsports in general. Spending an evening with such an accomplished driver and owner is a rare opportunity, so we’d suggest picking up your tickets post haste.
