One-Off Bugatti Divo Casually Graces The Grounds Of SEMA 2021

Ever so nonchalantly at the edge of SEMA is a nearly $6 million Bugatti Divo with a custom paint job that took Bugatti two years to complete.
We’ve seen a lot of extremely pricey cars make an appearance at SEMA over the past several years. We don’t want to say we’re jaded. However, it does take a lot to surprise us at the Las Vegas Convention Center. That being said, we were completely taken aback when we stumbled upon this gorgeous red Bugatti Divo in the slightly-secluded West Hall at SEMA 2021.
If seeing a $5.8 million Bugatti Divo in public is not impressive enough for you, we’ve got great news. This particular Bugatti Divo is a one-off version built specially to customer specifications. So, seeing it casually displayed for Xpel Paint Protection Film at SEMA is an unbelievable experience.

Who Is The Owner Of This Crazy Bugatti Divo?
If you’re wondering who has the money to custom order a Bugatti that has a starting price approaching $6 million, you’re likely not the only one. However, the name of this one-off Divo, displayed on the license plate, is as apparent a giveaway as there ever could be. It was dubbed “Ladybug.” If you’re at all familiar with the lore of prestigious Bugatti owners, you’d quickly associate that name with a couple of other Bugattis. The Bugatti Veyron L’or Rouge, dubbed “hell bug,” and the first Bugatti Chiron delivered to the US, dubbed “hell bee.” Both of those Bugattis and this Divo are all owned by Tilly’s co-founder Hezy Shaked.
The ladybug Bugatti Divo has a special one-off paint job. It features a unique diamond-shape geographic pattern along the hood and quarter panels. According to All Car Index, Bugatti claims this paint job took nearly two years to finish. The reason for the monumental delay in the completion of the project was the inability to adequately lay the cad-drawn diamond stencil onto the car without the pattern being warped due to the car’s body lines. In the end, the entire masking process had to be done by hand in order to ensure that the finished product was as perfect as they desired.

The Divo Is A Unique Car Even For Bugatti
The Bugatti Divo is a unique and limited production vehicle with only 40 ever built. It uses Bugatti’s signature 8.0-liter W16 engine and makes 1,500 horsepower and 1,180 pound-feet of torque. However, unlike the Veyron and Chiron, the Divo is not designed to be a straight-line top-speed hero. The Divo was engineered to handle like no Bugatti ever has before. It’s built to attack corners and put down killer times at race tracks. However, no official track times have been revealed for the Divo, despite being spotted at the legendary Nürburgring.
Tragically, we feel that customer Bugatti Divo examples will likely never see track time due to their enormous cost and collectability. Unfortunately, that’s just the way the cookie crumbles with collector super and hypercars.
Remarkably, this is not even Shaked’s rarest Bugatti. In 2017, he purchased the one-of-one Bugatti Grand Vision GT concept car from a private connector in Saudi Arabia. Though there is no official way to know the price of the Grand Vision GT. Allegedly, it cost him over $5 million. Though, we have no way to be sure.
This Divo is not likely to see any track time. However, it is most certainly in good company in Shaked’s collection. We can absolutely take solace in the fact that he allowed it to be displayed at SEMA, though. We’re glad we got a chance to see it!
