New Škoda Motorsport eChallenge Kicks Off April 22
Online game gives players chance to challenge pro rally drivers while behind virtual wheel of Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo.
Ever consider competing against professional rally drivers and even becoming a rally champion? The new Škoda Motorsport eChallenge may be the next best thing. The virtual competition lets auto enthusiasts compete behind the virtual wheel of a Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo against rally aces. The action kicks off on April 22 and starts with the five-day online version of “Rally Argentina,” running through April 26.
The online Škoda Motorsport eChallenge will be open for five days to all registered DiRT game players around the world (club name: Skoda eChallenge). Users will compete behind the wheel of a virtual Škoda Fabia Rally2 evo, going up against each other as well as against professional drivers. The individual results of each participant will be registered in a ranking system.
DiRT Rally 2.0 is a video game developed and published by Codemasters for all major gaming consoles such as PlayStation4 and Xbox One and also runs with Microsoft Windows. The DiRT Rally 2.0 edition is the 13th title of the game initially titled the “Colin McRae Rally” series. The legendary and unforgotten Scottish FIA World Rally Champion from 1995 impressed as well behind the wheel of a ŠKODA Fabia WRC.
Real rally aces, which are usually competing with a Škoda Fabia Rally2 on rally tracks worldwide, will join the competition. Among them is the FIA WRC2 Champion from 2017, Pontus Tidemand; European Rally Champion Chris Ingram; Slovakian Rally Champion Martin Koči; and rising star Oliver Solberg, who competes in select rounds of the FIA World Rally Championship. The Škoda Motorsport eChallenge winners will be awarded prizes.
