New Player Marius Designhaus Unveils MD1 Kit for the Lamborghini Urus
Set your bull apart from the herd with a subtle, well-integrated body kit.
After a decade of designing body kits for other aftermarket tuners, Romanian stylist Marius Dumitrascu has launched his own company. Marius Designhaus is off to a big start with their first project, the Lamborghini Urus MD1.
Like most of Dumitrascu’s designs, the Urus MD1 isn’t an in-your-face design like many of the aftermarket body kits we’ve seen for exotic cars in the past. Instead, The goal of Marius Designhaus is to subtly accentuate and exaggerate the base car’s natural lines. The end result is a vehicle that looks totally unique, while at the same time resembling something that the factory could have produced.
The design philosophy of Marius Designhaus is “perfection in execution.” The Urus MD1’s body kit, manufactured in high-end carbon fiber, is perfectly integrated into the styling of the Urus. It’s hard to tell exactly where the stock Urus stops and the MD1 begins.
Built to Last
Styling is one thing, but quality is another. Thankfully, that isn’t a concern for Marius Designhaus. The components are manufactured using aeronautical grade carbon fiber, with stainless steel inserts. Some parts of the body kit have a Nomex honeycomb core, and the bumpers themselves use Zylon, an evolution of Kevlar technology that’s far stronger. Even the screws supplied with the kit are quality pieces – they’re aerospace grade titanium fasteners.
The Lamborghini Urus is itself a polarizing vehicle; and aftermarket body kits for exotics are also typically a very polarizing affair. We asked Dumitrascu about what sort of feedback he’s receivedon the MD1. In his words,”The response has been good so far.” He went on to state his confidence in the project. “Our first focus is the quality that we bring into the market. As we said in the press release, our materials are unprecedented in the tuning industry. I am very proud of this!”
In the supercar world, exclusivity is everything. Only 30 MD1 kits will be produced for the Urus, so you should act quickly if you want to transform yours into an even more unique machine. We’re excited to see what’s next from Marius Designhaus.
