MotorWeek Revisits the Thunderous Lamborghini Diablo

By -

After running from the law for several years, this Diablo was tracked down, sold, and brought back to its former glory.

It doesn’t get more bedroom-wall-poster-supercar than the Lamborghini Diablo. With a top speed of 201 mph, it was once the fastest car in the world and by all means the sexiest and most outrageous.

Unlike most of us, the Diablo has aged rather gracefully and still looks as magnificent today as it did the day it debuted. The extra-wide rear end, the pop-up headlights, and the Lambo doors don’t just grant the Diablo supercar status; they make it the definition of supercar. This particular Lamborghini even has an infamous past!

MotorWeek revisists a classic Lamborghini Diablo.

Roger Mecca from MotorWeek had the incredible opportunity to get behind the wheel of this silver devil. During his drive, Mecca shares with us some details of its troubled history as well as the model’s golden years. For example, the Diablo was Lamborghini’s best-selling vehicle up until they were purchased by Audi. In addition, the devilish supercar builder eschewed power steering and flappy-paddle gearboxes would’ve never been considered for a vehicle of this caliber back then.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy a short-but-sweet review of the legendary Lambo!
