M-Performance Line For New BMW 4-Series Hints At Upcoming M4
BMW has officially revealed the M Performance line of accessories for the all-new 4-Series Coupe, which will be available from early 2014. The line-up includes a more aggressive aerodynamic package as well as interior trim upgrades, suspension and power tweaks. The good news for those who don’t tick off these options boxes upon initial ordering is all of the parts are available through official BMW dealers as retrofit accessories.
The M-Performance package hints at what the upcoming M4 high-performance coupe will look like, as it is designed and developed by BMW’s M division.
Inclusive in the M Performance line are Interior accessories, which include a new three-spoke steering wheel, newly styled contour seats, and a host of other goodies to be revealed this fall.
Aside from the show, the M Performance package also includes a power bump for three of the four engines available in the 4-Series coupe, most notably the top of the line 435i gets an impressive 34 hp and 37 lb-ft boost, for a total output of 336 hp and 332 lb-ft (450 Nm).
Power and torque boosts are said to be achieved through software modifications and new exhaust systems.
