1989 Porsche 944/LS3 race car

Custom built IMHA-ready race car is a one-of-a-kind find to take on any track.

For those of us who love to go full pedal to metal, there is nothing better than opening a car up on the track. Of course, the cost and complexity of getting into racing can deter many. But when we came across this Porsche for sale at our sister site Rennlist, we knew this would be an amazing find for any speed-minded enthusiasts.

Sold by Rennlist member jremke, this car has a lot to make this loaded 1989 944/LS3 pretty exceptional.

944 S2 street car converted to race by Kelly Moss for IMSA Firehawk series. Car was retubbed in 2005 and concerted to LS3 power with a GM crate engine in 2014. Dry sump oil tank, rear wing and splitter, MCS adjustable shocks, race conversion steering rack with new control arms, 951 transaxle with Guard LSD with electric cooling, Willwood pedal box, adjustable brake bias, Sparco seat, Coolshirt system, new fire suppression plumbed system, AIM MXG race dash, 3 sets Forgeline 18″ wheels, digital radios and new paint and livery in 2018. Only 5 hours on engine.

He is asking for $62,000, and is based in Nashville, TN. We think many might consider a Porsche and GM hybrid to be utter sacrilege, but it certainly isn’t unheard of to swap in the LS platform on high-performance rides. be we would love to know how that LS platform feels and performs.
