Los Angeles Car Culture as Experienced by F1 Driver Daniel Ricciardo

The things we love most about car culture in Los Angeles are presented in all of their glory to Formula 1 driver, Daniel Ricciardo in the video below. Low riders, hot rods, and gorgeous canyon roads are all on offer as the Red Bull Formula 1 driver samples each style in its natural habitat.

Starting off in east L.A., Daniel gets a taste of low riders and lead sled cars. Polar opposites from what he’s used to in Formula 1, these cars draw out a relaxed personality in the way they are set up, and the way in which they are intended to be driven.

Low and slow does share one thing in common with Daniel’s next set of wheels in Beverly Hills: chrome. Hot rods and chrome go hand in hand, but unlike the low riders, the pace of life is a little different. Loud pipes, louder paint jobs, and the ability to be faster than the guy next to you at a street light.

Last but not least, he hops into an Aston Martin Vanquish for some driving that is a bit more his speed. Blasting around the beautiful canyon roads with other exotics completes Daniel’s tour of Los Angeles’ rich car culture.

Check out the vid below, and let us know if he experienced everything you’d want to do in L.A.?
