Lexus LFA and IS F to enter Nurburgring 24 Hour Next Month

Lexus will challenge the Nürburgring 24 Hour race next month, when it enters the LFA and IS F. Both cars will be competing in the SP8 (naturally-aspirated engines) class.

As usual, it’ll be Gazoo Racing which will lead the charge to get the Japanese brand on the podium. And Lexus is quick to point out that it finished ahead of Ferrari and Aston Martin in the German VLN2 series three-and-a-half hour endurance race.

There’s a video game link, too, with the IS F having been piloted by Gran Turismo 5 creator Kazunori Yamauchi, which finished third in the SP8 class, ahead of the Aston Martin Vantage. Yamauchi-san certainly knows the Ring well and is looking forward to the 24 Hour.

May 17 to 20 will the dates to watch out for, when the teams gather to compete at “Green Hell.”
