Lancia Stratos Revival Officially Dead

Plans for a limited production run of a new Lancia Stratos are officially dead. According to many reports, Ferrari CEO Dr. Amedeo Felisa offered his support for the one-off project but not for the production run.

The Lancia Stratos revival borrowed much from the Ferrari 430 Scuderia, including a shortened chassis and the Scuderia’s 4.3 liter V8 engine. We can only conclude this is Ferrari’s main reason for blocking a production run.

The New Stratos, created by German businessman Michael Stoschek and designed by Pininfarina, was to be a modern day tribute to the legendary rally car of the seventies.
