Lamborghini Gallardo replacement named Huracan, Not Cabrera

By -

The British publication Auto Express is reporting that the highly anticipated replacement for the Lamborghini Gallardo will be called Huracan, which means hurricane in Spanish. The new car will be unveiled this month. They go on to note that Lamborghini trademarked the name back on April 19, 2012.

The Huracan is said to be powered by an updated version of Lambo’s naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 mated to a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox. The engine will crank out at least 600bhp. The new Lambo will be built on an all-new aluminum space-frame platform that will also underpin the next R8 in 2015. Anyone else excited?!
