Automakers are infatuated with building hardcore Nürburgring slayers. That’s a fact. The new Jaguar XE SV Project 8 falls into that specific category. While some may be unable to comprehend why a perfectly comfortable and sporty Jaguar XE has to be roided out to fulfill a purpose it was never intended to fulfill, we, on the other hand, must admit this is one hell of a kitty.

The good folks at our sister site Jaguar Forums recently had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the Project 8 beast. Not only that, but they were able to chat with Dan Connell, Head of Global PR and Marketing for Jaguar Land Rover SVO, and the honorary Lead Project Manager for Project 8, Dave Foster, whose actual title is SVO Advanced Product Creation Manager.

The top speed is in excess of 200 mph, and it employs a plethora of aerodynamic features including several radiators, heat exchangers and coolers to release hot air and welcome cool air.
