Highly Detailed GT40 Watches Celebrate Heroes of ‘Ford v Ferrari’
New line of watches incorporate intricate details and color schemes of Le Mans-winning GT40 racers.
The smash box office hit Ford v Ferrari helped bring one of the greatest stories in motorsports to the masses. Perhaps more importantly, it also made the legendary Ford GT40 MKII a bigger star than it already was. So we were thrilled to find out that Team Speed member/sponsor GT40 Watches was rolling out a brand new, intricately detailed series of wrist wear that pays tribute to that history-making machine.
A total of three distinctly beautiful watches are currently available, each one sporting a different color scheme. The first is the GT40 MKII Chrono finished in white with a dark blue center stripe and dial. The second is a Ken Miles edition timepiece finished in everyone’s favorite Gulf Blue livery. Rounding out the trio is a black and gold watch with a silver center stripe. All three watches measure in at 45mm, and are constructed using a stainless steel case. They’re also water resistant up to 10 ATM in case you find yourself water logged.
The details, of course, are what sets these time pieces apart from your average mall find. The back of each watch features a beautiful GT40 engraving in red, blue, and black. There are even holes in the straps, along with a host of other features that mimic design details from the GT40 MKII itself. Each watch comes in its own equally stylish storage case, a placard, and picture of the Le Mans-winning trio that made history.
Like any fine time piece, these watches make a perfect compliment to the wardrobe of anyone with oil in their veins.
