Godzilla Spotted in Las Vegas
With the 2015 SEMA Show only days away, heavily modified cars can already be seen pouring into the Las Vegas Convention Center as well as cruising the streets of Sin City.
There will be plenty of monstrous custom builds, but only one car takes its nickname from a legendary monster, the Nissan GT-R, a.k.a. Godzilla.
This 2012 GT-R, owned by Dennis Chang, pays homage to the Godzilla moniker with a manga (Japanese graphic novel) inspired wrap by Middlecott Design. It also sports an Air Lift Performance suspension, tuning by COBB, a Seibon front lip and Rexpeed side skirts.
A piece of trivia for GT-R enthusiasts: The nickname was made popular by the Australian automotive press when the 1989 issue of Wheels magazine referred to the R32 GT-R as “Godzilla on wheels.” Australia was the first country that the GT-R was exported to, and it crushed its competition both on the street and track.
If you’re in town for SEMA this week, keep an eye out for this monster. He won’t be crushing buildings, but he might be stompin’ on suckers at stoplights!
