One more lucky person gets to live out their Miami Vice dreams thanks to this stellar classic Ferrari sale at Fall Carlisle.

Ever since Sonny Crockett fought baddies across South Beach in his classic Ferrari Testarossa on Miami Vice, many of us have coveted the gorgeous model. But sadly, the closest most of us have gotten to reliving these childhood dreams is the ability to grow a sweet mustache and wear tropical-themed shirts. But now, one more lucky person can now say that they own one of the coolest Ferrari machines ever produced.

The pristine black Testarossa you see above changed hands at the 2019 Fall Carlisle auction, along with over 250 other cars, trucks, motorcycles, bikes, and trikes. And the beautiful supercar was also the top seller at this annual event, hammering for a cool $88,810. Right behind the Ferrari were a pair of Corvettes – a 1966 ($78,830) and 2016 Z06 ($68,212). Rounding out the top five were a ’54 Cadillac Eldorado ($65,270) and ’55 Buick Super 88 ($57,780).

Those top five sellers contributed $328,902 to the auction’s grand total of $3.6 million in sales. Over 250 lots found new homes at Fall Carlisle, a 50% sell-through rate with over 500 cars up for grabs. Not too shabby for an auction that’s only been around a fraction of the time it’s host event has. In fact, Fall Carlisle, the final event on the Pennsylvania-based legend’s calendar, has been going strong since 1974.

All of this action went down on Thursday and Friday night, packing the Carlisle Expo Center with eager bidders. Aside from the diverse array of vehicles crossing the block, there was also a ’60s-themed “power hour” that paid tribute to this iconic era in the automotive industry. It was truly a good time for all in attendance, even those who weren’t necessarily in the market for a new ride.

The Fall Carlisle auction has grown steadily over the years, becoming one of the crowning jewels in Carlisle Events’ rather large portfolio. But even though it marks the end of car show season until next year, the auction action keeps rolling on. Next up on the docket is the Sunset Carlisle auction, which takes place in Sarasota, Florida on November 8-9. So if you’re still hankering to let your chest hair out and cruise around in your new/classic Ferrari, be sure and stay tuned for the consignment list by heading over here!
