New safety training and tests were conducted before production resumed and gradually ramped up on May 4.

Ferrari has launched its “Installation Lap” phase, which is its safety training for its factory employees that began May 4 as the company begins to reopen its production facilities.

The automaker has dedicated several days to this crucial phase. It has decided to put before the start of production the training sessions for workers, in particular, on the best precautionary measures to take against any health risk, in line with the “Back on Track” program.

The Company will provide checks at the entrances to the workstations, PPE and rules for sharing common areas. It has reorganized its environments and has provided the best tools to its staff for a smooth and safe return to work. For example, workers are offered voluntary serological tests before going back to work.

In line with the government’s recent indications, Ferrari gradually restarted its Maranello and Modena plants on May 4. They will return to full production on May 8.

“Ferarri has spared no effort to prepare for this moment by setting up the ‘Back on Track’ program, which reflects the deep commitment to its people first and foremost,” said Ferrari in a press statement. “It includes the introduction of several new practices which are aimed at safeguarding the health and wellbeing of all of the employees such as new rules for sharing common areas and reorganizing its areas, as well as voluntary serological tests which have already started happening in the last few weeks.”
