Facelifted Porsche 911 Carrera Spotted

While we still haven’t received all the versions of the 991-generation Porsche 911, it appears the German engineers are already out testing a facelift for the 991 range. These images are the first to reveal the refreshed incarnation of the 911.

Since the new 991 Carrera showed up at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, and Porsche’s typical life cycle includes a revamp once every four years or so, we can be relatively certain the facelifted 991 will debut as a 2015 model.

It seems that the car shown here is the 911 (type 991) GTS model. This will be the hottest naturally-aspirated version that doesn’t over-lap into the track-inspired arena of the GT3.

The test vehicle is wearing camouflage on its front and rear aprons, but we can see reshaped air intakes, revised LED daytime running lights, and larger taillamps for the rear end with a style close to the new Macan or 918 Spyder.
