Earth Day Ideas for Going (and Staying) Green
Plug into these inspiring stories from around the world as we celebrate the golden anniversary of Earth Day. Greta and Marvin would thank you.
As you may know, today, April 22, is the 50th year of Earth Day. And in addition to scoring points with eco-warrior wunderkind Greta Thunberg, it is easy to understand how going green can result in immediate gratification for those who consciously play a daily part in helping to protect and heal the world from ecological disasters. That gratification comes in the form of cleaner air that you can feel with every breath you take, clearer city views free of a smoggy overlay (thanks in part to the increasing popularity of EVs), bluer oceans and skies, and, of course, proverbial greener horizons.
Over here at the Team Speed headquarters, we’re all on the go-green bandwagon — and one of our writers, who shall go nameless, even owns a Prius! (We don’t mock him though because we appreciate his contributions to cleaner air.) Now, we’d never suggest turning in your Lambo for a Prius, but we would like to offer up some links to a few of our favorite auto-related Earth Day stories. These reports from around the world may inspire others to join us in celebrating Earth Day’s golden anniversary and being more proactive in creating a brighter, greener future for generations to come.
