Lexus RC-F at LA Autoshow

One-off RC F Coupe Builds on Model’s Aggressive Visuals with Widebody Kit and Deep Dish Wheels.

The Lexus RC F is a pretty stunning machine in stock form, thanks to its aggressive lines and complex mix of curves, body lines and sharp edges. Really, there’s nothing else out there that looks quite like it. But like all cars, there’s always the ability to push things even further, which is exactly what Dana Balthasar has accomplished with his one-of-a-kind 2015 Lexus RC F that will be on display to the general public at the L.A. Auto Show from November 22-December 1. Balthasar’s RC F has been through a few different visual iterations over the years (check out his Instagram page to see the car’s evolution) but he really knocked it out of the park with this latest concept.

The body features a Pandem V1 wide body kit, which while commonly used on BMWs, Nissan Skylines and other models, is not often seen on an RC F. The kit consists of custom front and rear bumpers as well as fender flares at all four corners that accent the Lexus’s aggressive lines quite nicely. At the front is a deep front splitter that has prominent adjustment rods. The back end of the coupe has a diffuser installed below the bumper. And sitting atop the trunk is one massive wing that is no doubt perfect for producing downforce at higher speeds.

It’s a pretty common theory that wheels are what really tie together a car’s visuals to perfection, and Balthasar’s Lexus is no exception. In this case he fitted a set of massive Works VS XX alloys. Though the exact dimensions are a mystery, the wheels feature a very deep dish. And the black centers paired with the brushed lips lends them a beautiful yet purposeful look. A set of sticky Toyo T1 Sports tires are wrapped around the wheels. Daley Visual in Corona, CA masterfully applied what the car’s owner refers to as a “GT3 Livery”, which gives the Lexus RC F a competition vibe.

Of course, all that visual goodness is backed up by some additional performance by way of a PPE exhaust header, an Armytrix stainless steel Valvetronic exhaust and Takeda air intake. And though the doors were closed, the interior of the Lexus has been upgraded with Recaro GT Racing seats and a Studio RSR 6-point roll cage. Team Speed is at the L.A. Auto Show this week, so stay tuned for more exclusive coverage.
