Luft 7

Seventh edition of massive Porsche showcase plans to set up next event in North Carolina, Nov. 1.

If you have ever attended one of the Luftgekühlt all-Porsche car shows then you know just how spectacular and massive the event is, and when it comes to car shows, this one always kicks off at 60 mph in 2.7 seconds and just goes from there. We attend Luft 6 last year at Hollywood, California’s world-famous Universal Studios backlot, and it was one of the best auto shows and settings we’d ever experienced — and we are fortunate enough to attend a lot of great shows for Team Speed, like this one and this one and this one!

So, we were happy to hear that Luftgekühlt 7 is hinting toward a more promising future soon with newly announced plans to reschedule the seventh edition of the annual event to November 1 in Durham, North Carolina.

“I would personally like to thank all the friends and followers of Luftgekühlt for their understanding,” said Luftgekühlt founder Patrick Long about the rescheduled date in a press statement. “The event is our passion project and we’re determined to deliver on our promise to bring Luft 7 to the East Coast.”

The original location and format of the previously scheduled gathering will remain intact for the fall event, “subject to us all doing our part and getting through this challenging period,” added the event’s SoCal-based producers.

“The decision was made with regard to recommendations from local and national health authorities and after consultation with the city of Durham, North Carolina, and our venue hosts,” they added.

Team Speed will be keeping you updated as more details surface about ticket information. In the interim, for the next couple of days, Luft is donating 25% of proceeds from its online store to a vital non-profit relief aid organization.
