BMW E92 M3 Reaches End Of Production Run

BMW has officially announced that production of the current E92 M3 Coupe has ended last week. The shockingly bright “fire-orange” M3 seen here is the very last E92 M3 produced.

Launched in 2007, production of the BMW M3 Coupe has exceeded 40,000 units, and the BMW M3 Sedan added almost 10,000 units to the total. Just under 16,000 units of the BMW M3 Convertible have been built to date, and will continue to be in production until September 2013.

Going forward, as we all know by now, the M3 badge will be reserved solely for the hopped-up 3-Series sedan, while the replacement for the outgoing coupe will wear the M4 badge. Expect the new M3 sedan to be launched in the first few months of 2014.
