2013 Porsche 911 GT3 Spotted!

Instantly recognizable as the new Porsche 911 GT3, our trusty Teamspeed spies and their long range lenses, catch this barley camouflaged prototype inside Porsche’s test-track near Zuffenhausen in Germany.
This type-991 GT3 seen here includes a revised version of the 997 GT3 fixed rear wing, two centrally mounted exhausts pipes in the rear bumper, a new front skirt with lower splitter and air vents at the front edge of the hood.
Today’s generation 911 GT3 has been on the road since 2006 which was followed up with a face lifted version in 2009, and went out with a bang in 2012 with the incredible GT3RS 4.0 (Teamspeed’s 2012 car of the year).
Technical features include a 3.8-litre engine delivering at least 453 hp which will be mated to Porsche’s all new 7-speed manual transmission. It’s still not confirmed if the 991 GT3 will have a PDK transmission (Porsche Doppelkupplung) option.
The 2013 Porsche 911 GT3 is expected to hit the market in early 2013.
