Hennessey Previews the 2013 Venom GT
Construction is currently underway at Hennessey on its 10th Venom GT supercar, but that doesn't mean improvements aren't on the horizon for model year 2013. Perhaps the hype behind the new McLaren P1 supercar has inspired the Hennessey team to show its new Venom GT in this shocking orange paint scheme, plus all-new dihedral-like design style doors.
Details are scarce right now but what we do know is the new Venom GT will be powered by a 7.0L twin turbo V-8 producing over 1500 hp, with 1+ bhp per kilogram of curb weight. The beastly power-plant can now be mated to an optional 7-speed paddle shift transmission for those not interested in using their left foot to guide this supercar down the road.
Some other enhancements are a new front fascia, new headlights, and increased headroom with the double bubble roof.
According to Hennessey, "The Venom GT will continue to offer the best power to weight ratio in the hypercar market."
Stay tuned for a full release soon.

Over 1500hp? I'm sure it will accelerate incredibly from 170-270, that's about the only place you could put all that power down. This huge horsepower battle thats in the mix is getting a bit crazy.
