Armytrix was born from a culture of innovation. We create products, services and experiences for the present while bringing the future ever closer. This undaunted spirit has propelled our rise and fueled our desire to achieve even greater feats. We've only just begun.

We are happy to present our second collaboration project with Vivid Racing. After Project CLA45 AMG, we knew we just had to give it another go. By being a part of these projects, we hope to inspire car enthusiasts who dream about one day building his or her own ride.

Like a jigsaw puzzle, building a car takes patience and skills. Hours put into planning, selecting the right parts that brings about the perfect mixture of performance and aesthetic. For this McLaren MP4-12C project, Vivid Racing has gone all in. Armytrix is back at it with our top tier titanium valvetronic exhaust to lay down a barrage of explosive exhaust audio. Watch the competitions get shell-shocked. This build will also include a stellar lineup, including, WP Pro Brakes to help this stampeding stallion to stop on a dime. Rotiform to add some flair to the proceeding. Vorsteiner aero body kit offers both style and substance, truly a work of genius and Vivid's very own VR Tuned will take the McLaren's performance to infinity and beyond.

As most of you may already know, Vivid Racing has recently acquired a McLaren MP4-12C and is undertaking a total makeover of it. Armytrix is proud to be a part of this project and is just as giddy as the rest of you guys in seeing the finished product. Armytrix's ceramic coated downpipe traps the heat that's required to speed up the expulsion process. Exhaust gas particles moves at a significant higher rate inducing a mesmerizing exhaust audio output that'll certainly rival any F1 cars. Make sure ya'll follow their build thread and their blog for updates.

Armytrix titanium exhaust has been installed successfully on MP4-12C! Designed and built to harness the McLaren's full power, minimizing any potential flow interference, generating full power and massive sound. Going over the parts, there is a lot to discover in the way this Vorsteiner kit brings uniformity to the McLaren. The front bumper features huge air inlets to give much needed cooling. The front lower carbon fiber lip is separate and even more pronounced than that of the 650S. The bumpers carbon fiber side accents are a nice touch as they flow into the lower side skirt add-ons. The way the side skirts attach make them apart of the car when the doors open and close. Following these to the back is the grand prize of the rear bumper. Its carbon fiber touches and massive rear diffuser really make the rear more punctuated. The diffuser pan is separate like stock and the rear brake light is still integrated. Now we look up to the active aero wing. If you have seen videos or pictures of the 675, then this kind of makes sense. With the wing on by itself, its hard to make sense of it alone. But with the rest of the kit, it works well with the lines. The full carbon fiber blade still works as a air brake and its sides extend over the rear quarter panels. Its big looking no doubt, but really makes a point this is not a stock McLaren.

"Generally when we do Project Cars we work with a wheel company and choose the style and color. However this time we did it differently working with the guys at Rotiform. My exact words were, “make me something, just keep the stock sizes“. So that is what they did! And boy did they get unique on me with this new Rotiform CHD 3 piece wheel."

The boys at Vivid Racing took this British beaut out for a drive under the blistering Arizona sun. But it's safe to say, that the McLaren handled the heat quite well, blazing its own path to the top of the performance pyramid. Stay tuned for the videos!!

ARMYTRIX McLAREN MP4-12C

ROUND ONE
The first run of our McLaren was against a black Corvette Z06. The McLaren is all stock except a turboback, catless ArmyTrix exhaust and a new VR Tuned ECU flash putting it at about 700bhp. The Corvette already having 7.0L of pure American Muscle is intimidating. Rolling to the cones we both punched it. The Vette got the initial lead, but the 3.8L twin turbo McLaren pulled it midrange and barely beat it at the end. I think this first run was about 151mph.
After a short break, I landed a race with the 991 Turbo. Equipped well and at about 650bhp and also a 3.8L twin turbo, I thought this would be a equal race if any. We both started from a roll at about 40mph and punched it. The 991 Turbo is fast as shit! His top speed for the day was 159mph which is strong. The car sounded insane with the straight pipes as it roared down the runway. On a positive note, this was my old car so cant complain .
Next race I ran involved a blonde chick and 155mph against a ACR Viper. The ACR Viper was the Gen 5 premium Viper with its 8.4L V10 making 600bhp and 560ft/lbs of torque. This would be a good match up. Like the other big displacement cars, this thing got the jump. But we fought and rocketed ahead. I think the McLaren’s high rev range and top end is what helps it pull away each time.
We lined up again and this time was against a Ford Mustang Boss 302 with mods. This car produces stock 444bhp and I am sure this was modded to atleast 500bhp. Looking back at the video, not sure if this guy missed a shift, but he had some torque at first but we left him rather quickly.
