Maserati Reveals New Quattroporte Engine Options
When the new Maserati Quattroporte was revealed to the world last week, the press released failed to mention what would be under the front bonnet of the new saloon for the 2013 model year. Today we learn power will come from two variants, both are all aluminum and feature direct injection.
The 3.0 liter V6 is twin-turbocharged and produces 410 bhp, four-wheel drive is an option. The Quattroporte V6 will get you to 60 mph in just about 5 seconds and top out a 177 mph.
The 3.8 liter V8 twin-turbo pumps out 530 bhp, and should hit the 60 mph mark in 4.7 seconds and top out at 191 mph. Both engine are mated to an 8-speed automatic manufactured by ZF.
No word yet on a much talked about diesel option, stay tuned for more details.
