new M5 on wilshire going west

Just spotted it going west on wilshire right past westwood.

4 pipes, sounded kind of like an SC engine and not turbo'ed.

If you work in Santa monica on wilshire, see if you can get a pic. I was not fast enough, going east bound and all.

Might be.

I guess the guy is taking a break from the hot weather testing in the Death Valley?

When we did our canon ball run in the DV, we saw a few interesting test mules, and I almost ran out of gas since the Turbo isn't exactly fuel efficient at top speed.

LOL where did they leave that parked? In front of a gas station bathroom? Not exactly top security for one of the most highly anticpated sedans.

Running out of gas in DV would suck. I know BMW does a lot of testing in DV. They just had a recent youtube vid on it. My guess this may be a DV test mule, or just testing to see how it performs in heavily congested urban areas.
