A VERY Custom GT2 RSR

I do not want to abuse the space...so if there are specific pics you would like to see...let me know via the thread and I will post more. I have about 400 photos...this started as a 2002 GT2, pristine condition, and I decided to forego my 997 GT2 that I had on order and spend my time...and money...building a unique car that is, frankly, a whole lot faster and better handling than a 997 GT2. It is a custom body kit built by DP in Germany and all components added are carbon. The interior is gutted and rebuilt using matte finsh CF furnished by MAcarbon including custom parts they have done. Check out the carbon finished door latches. The boost tubes in the engine area will also be matte finished carbon. The engine is a custom built 3.8 liter w/ "tweaked" water cooled Garrett gt35s, Carrillo rods, RSR crank, Mahle pistons and cylinders, "tweaked" GT3 heads, valve train, and custom cams. The entire induction system is custom built along with the use of RSR throttle bodies and all linkage components and is converted to cable actuation. It is controlled by a modified MoTec 800 with custom wiring harness that integrates with the factory ECU as necessary. It uses a custom stainless 321 exhaust system and Burns lightweight mufflers. The tranny is fully built steel synchros, Guard Lightweight GT diff, larger side plate and bearing, etc. to handle the expected 850 plus HP and associated torque. It is regeared for track use, but will go to 190MPH in a big hurry. The shift unit is a a sequential, electronically actuated system furnished by Cartronic in Germany. Full custom suspension designed by Cary Eisenlohr of ERP products and incorporates JRZ 3-ways, Eibachs, modified RSR uprights and rear sub frame, a bunch of ERP custom parts, KW hydraulic lift system (HLS) from Sam at Auto Talent, RSR hubs and a Brembo based RSR brake system custom built by Charlie at Wrightwood Racing. Wheels are BBS monoblock RSR 11 x 18 fronts with 295/30-18 Cups and 13 x 18 rears with 345/30-18 Cups. I have two sets, the other is shod with Toyo R888s. Soon to come are custom made 360Forged CF5 carbon center wheels with 265/30-19 and 355/25-19 Pirelli Rossos for the "street". We also installed a 85% concealed roll cage, ADL2 MoTec digital dash, 997 GT3 RS carbon race seats and Shroth belts. For the hot Arizona days, we installed a custom water cooling system for the enlarged intercoolers wherein the pump is controlled by temp sensors hooked to the MoTec 800. Tank is in the nose. The steering is full RSR electric system from Porsche and eliminates about 45 lbs from the back of the car. The car also has 997 RSR air jacks with the hose hook-up mounted adjacent to the power steering resevoir located under the hood. There is a pic of the set-up. The entire car is set-up with a full custom carbon undertray and carbon rear air diffuser. I will post a couple of pics of the undertray set-up.
Hope you guys enjoy the project. The car is being built by Loren Beggs of 911 Design in Montclair, CA. It goes to the body shop in about two weeks. Hope to have it at Willow Springs in October for testing and set-up.
